In order to do something special for Australian charity workers, amaysim has teamed up with fellow tech innovator Hey You to assist users to beat the queues at cafes for Pay It Forward Day.

The two tech companies have been encouraging Australians to perform an act of kindness for people who do it for those in need on a daily basis.

Through the Hey You app (available on web, iOS and Android phones), Aussies can shout a coffee by clicking on the virtual ‘Pay It Forward Day Store’ on the home screen of the app and following the simple prompts.

To help drive participation and start the wave of Pay It Forward good deeds, amaysim is giving $5 of mobile credit to the first 2,000 generous individuals who make a donation.

amaysim Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Balint explained amaysim’s delight to be working with Hey You to help simplify the experience of ‘paying it forward’.

“amaysim has hit Sydney’s streets on Pay It Forward Day in the past to buy people coffees, bus tickets and offer other small acts of kindness -so we’re really excited about doing something again for this special day and enabling Aussies to give back by using their smartphones.”

Hey You Co-Founder, Rebekah Campbell, echoed amaysim’s excitement about the partnership of the two brands and enabling Aussies with the Hey You app to perform an act of kindness.

“Hey You was created to help busy Australians order ahead and beat the queue at their favourite cafes. More than 13,000 orders are now processed on the app every day.”

“We’ve always loved the concept behind Pay It Forward Day, and it just makes sense that someone buying a coffee on Hey You should be able to buy a coffee for someone else. The charities that we’ve selected to do so much good in the community and it’s nice to know that we have found a way of using our technology to say thanks,” Campbell said.
