RS Components has signed a Global Authorised Distributor agreement with Taiwan Semiconductor, broadening the scope of the existing collaboration between the two companies to deliver a comprehensive portfolio of discrete semiconductor devices and power management ICs to customers worldwide.
RS Components (RS) is the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc, the world's leading high service distributor of electronics and maintenance products.
RS will stock an extensive selection of discrete semiconductors including bridge rectifiers, power schottky and suppression (TVS), MOSFETs and small signal devices from Taiwan Semiconductor, complemented by a range of power management devices, such as linear voltage regulators, switching regulators and analogue ICs.
RS will continue to expand the line, introducing new products to its inventory as soon as they are released to give customers fast access to all of the latest Taiwan Semiconductor innovations for use in automotive, consumer, computing, industrial, lighting, portable power management and telecom applications.
Jon Boxall, Global Head of Semiconductors at RS comments that their new Global Distributor status cements the existing relationship with Taiwan Semiconductor and positions RS as a trusted source of their products to customers across the globe. He adds that the agreement enables them to step up their new product introduction programme to help drive the growth of their business worldwide.
