ABB has launched its new RGW ring lug terminal blocks in sizes from 2.5 to 25mm2, offering both fast and secure wiring.
The RGW ring lug terminal blocks are said to enable 45 percent faster wiring of ring lugs, compared to open style terminal blocks, because its nuts are captive in a pivoting wing, preventing them from falling out, and ensuring they are ready to tighten.
The 100 percent captive wire connection provides the optimal combination of stud, safety wings, captive nut and ring lug, creating a fully secured connection suited for power, medium and low voltage switchgear panel applications. The self-locking wings prevent sudden opening, and the terminal blocks have a touch-proof design.
The RGW terminal blocks are also 15 percent more compact, to save space on the DIN rail, and the universal foot allows mounting on both symmetrical and asymmetrical DIN rails.
The ABB terminal blocks are qualified for worldwide markets, applications and for severe environments where vibration and shock may be issues for other equipment. It is suited for all industries that use ring terminals, including utilities, HVAC and rail rolling stock, being compatible with international standards and certifications such as CE, IEC, UL, CSCA, ISO 14001 and RoHS.
