ADVANTECH has released the ADAM-6100 series of industrial Ethernet remote I/O modules.
Seven of the units are designed with the EtherNet/IP protocol and seven are based on PROFINET.
Of the EtherNet/IP-based modules, four have just been released, the ADAM-6150EI, a 15-ch Isolated Digital Input/Output EtherNet/IP Module, the ADAM-6151EI, a 16-ch Isolated Digital Input EtherNet/IP Module, the ADAM-6156EI, a 16-ch Isolated Digital Output EtherNet/IP Module, and the ADAM-6160EI, a 6-ch Relay Output EtherNet/IP Module.
According to Advantech, the modules are designed with 2500V DC isolation protections, and are very resistant to field interference.
The modules are equipped with EtherNet/IP protocol and allow daisy chain connections, so data can be transferred much faster during process control and other industrial automation applications.
The ADAM-6100 series can be mounted in different ways depending on different field situations, such as DIN-rail mounting, wall mounting, and piggybacked.
Advantech’s ADAM.NET Utility comes bundled with each ADAM-6100 module, allowing users to configure, set, and test the modules through Ethernet.
