ADVANTECH has announced the PCA-6011, its new PICMG 1.0 full-sized single board computer.
Designed with the Intel G41 and the ICH7R chipset for industrial applications, the PCA-6011 is a high performance quad core SBC with strong I/O capability.
PCA-6011 supports LGA 775 Intel Core2 Quad, Core2 Duo, Pentium Dual-Core and Celeron 400 series processors with FSB up to 1333 MHz and DDR3 800/1066MHz SDRAM up to 4GB.
The single board computer is capable of software SATA RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 to ensure high storage performance and data protection.
The PCA-6011 has an embedded Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500 with shared memory up to 352MB. It provides strong 2D/3D graphic processing power without the need for an additional add-on graphic card which reduces extra cost, power consumption and thermal design effort.
In terms of I/O, the SBC has four SATA2 ports supporting S/W RAID 0,1,5,10, providing high data transmission rates of (300 MB/sec) and reliable read/write performance.
The two serial ports (COM ports) can be used for device control applications. Dual Gigabit Ethernet LANs offer networking capability and support teaming and fail-over function.
More I/O interfaces like ISA, FDD, PS/2, and parallel port are provided to ensure full backward compatibility when transitioning to a new generation platform.
Through the LPC Bus, PCA-6011 supports a variety of I/O module. PCA-COM232 and PCA-COM485 supports 4 RS-232 and 4 RS-422/485 with auto-flow control. PCA-TPM provides security support via TPM 1.2 solution.
