TEXAS Instruments’ new high resolution resistive sensing signal conditioner will enable fast and precise 24-bit measurement of pressure, strain, flow or liquid levels.
The PGA900 signal conditioner is a one-chip solution which integrates 24-bit ADCs, 14-bit DAC, programmable core, power management and multiple output interfaces in a small form factor.
The programmable core enables flexible linearisation and temperature compensation for numerous resistive bridge sensing applications, while the two low-noise 24-bit analogue-to-digital converters (ADCs) allow high resolution signal acquisition.
A 14-bit digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) provides highly linear analogue outputs, and a variety of output interfaces, including analogue voltage, 4-20 mA current loop, SPI, I2C, UART, and one-wire interface (OWI),to give designers options for different application needs.
The PGA900’s integrated power management accepts external power supply voltages from 3.3 V to 30V.
