ADVANTECH has announced the PCM-9363 3.5” compact and low profile SBC, based on the Intel Atom N455/D525 Single/Dual Core processors.
The single board computer features the ICH8M chipset. The processors support up to 4GB of DDR3 memory for the D525, or 2GB for N455. The graphics controller has Intel Gen 3.5, DirectX 9.0c , and MPEG2 hardware decoder.
The Thermal Design Power (TDP) rating including processor and ICH8M chipset is 9W for the N455, and 13W for the D525, enabling power reductions, smaller systems and performance improvements.
The PCM-9363 features a single 12V DC power input design and has a DC power hot-plug protection design which can protect unstable DC voltage spikes from damaging the board.
Other protective design features include a high level industrial grade ESD COM port driver IC (15KV air protection/8KV contact protection for RS-232), 100% solid capacitors with better MTBF compared with electrolytic capacitors, and TG-150 PCB type that allows the PCB to endure higher temperatures.
The PCM-9363 measures 31mm from the top to the bottom of the board, including the fanless heatsink. The total height including low-profile cooler on the Intel Atom D525 dual core processor is around 35 mm, making it suitable for a 1U chassis designs.
