M2M Connectivity will be showcasing the new AirPrime HL7549 LTE embedded
module from Sierra Wireless at CONNECT EXPO in Melbourne and CeBIT in
Sydney. The module supports B3 (1800MHz), B7 (2600MHz) and B28 (700MHz) bands.
AirPrime HL7549’s support for LTE Cat 4 is aimed at improving network capacity,
throughput, data speed and operational cost-efficiency. With more devices using cellular networks in the
growing Internet of Things (IoT) landscape, M2M and IoT communications will
benefit from LTE advancements in capacity, latency and throughput.
Major carriers have switched on their 700MHz networks offering better
coverage and faster speeds across Australia, especially in regional areas where
the 700MHz spectrum is able to travel longer geographic distances than higher
frequency spectrum, and also provides better indoor coverage with its ability
to travel through walls.
As a Sierra Wireless distributor in Australia and New Zealand, M2M Connectivity
will be displaying Sierra Wireless products at the CONNECT EXPO on Stand 24 in
Melbourne, and CeBIT on Stand C26 in Sydney. A Sierra Wireless product showcase
will be the centrepiece of the M2M/IoT Zone at CeBIT.
Demonstrations of the AirPrime HL7549 at M2M Connectivity’s stand at the
CONNECT EXPO and CeBIT exhibitions will showcase the high speeds achievable by
the LTE embedded module boasting possible peak download speeds of up to 150Mbps
and peak upload speeds of up to 50Mbps.
