Latest News

THE HOME audio equipment market continues to grow, with the latest research from SAR Insight & Consulting indicating an 18.5 percent growth from 2014 to 2015.

According to SAR Insight & Consulting, home equipment suppliers will ship US$13.5 billion worth of products in 2015, up from $11.5 billion in 2014.

The market continues to see significant growth, with some product categories rising rapidly and seeing few signs of a slow-down, claims the analysts.

Particularly strong growth segments include mobile speakers with Bluetooth capabilities and multi-room speakers with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth features: a common indicator of consumer desire for wireless products.

Almost 90% of total devices shipped were Bluetooth enabled in 2014, and while Wi-Fi connectivity was only present in a small number of devices in 2015, its use is growing rapidly.

The sound bar market also continues to grow rapidly, with an expected annual growth rate of 13 percent from 2014 to 2020. This particular category of products has become one of the primary revenue generators in the home audio market.

Overall, the Americas and EMEA regions are providing a strong and growing base with the Asia-Pacific region growing fastest of all.
