Multi-million radio supply contract for Codan

AUSTRALIAN advanced electronics company Codan has entered into a US$7.9 million contract under which it will supply HF radio equipment to a longstanding military customer.

Codan will supply a combination of its own manufactured equipment and third-party items.

In recent times, Codan has sought to stabilise its earnings by developing new products that would allow it to play in larger and more diverse markets, thereby increasing the size and number of project it can bid for.

According to Codan, this new HF radio supply contract represents a significant multi-vendor prime project for its Radio Communications business, and will also form the basis of further participation in large tenders.

Codan also noted that the instability and conflict in some of its key markets is driving demand for its products, which are advanced electronic systems that perform well in harsh environments. These solutions are used by governments, NGOs and consumers around the world who have critical safety, security and productivity requirements.
