SYDNEY-based electronic contract manufacturer On-track Technology says it has expanded its facilities to better cater for the needs of its customers.

On-track Technology has provided Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) for more than 20 years, and throughout 2012, it has been expanding its manufacturing capabilities.

During Christmas 2011, the company reconfigured its existing production lines to improve manufacturing workflows and efficiency, netting a 20 percent improvement in manufacturing capacity.

The work done last year also allowed On-track Technology to commission a new automated SMT line, giving On-track Technology a total of three main automated production SMT lines and one prototyping SMT line. The third SMT line has also increased the contract manufacturer’s capacity by another 30%.

According to Raymond Pang, sales manager of On-track Technology, the company is continuously improving nad implementing quality and performance-based KPIs in its manufacturing processes.

“These factory improvements have provided our clients with the quickest turnaround times, lowest SMT setup costs, more reliable on-time delivery, more manufacturing capacity, and lower PCB assembly prices,” Pang stated.

In addition to manufacturing services, the company also provides clients with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews and reports to help improve product designs and to ensure products are manufactured in the most cost effective and the quickest possible way.
