SAMSUNG has joined the Arduino Certified Program, with the launch of its new ARTIK platform of processors and development boards.
The ARTIK family of Arduino Certified processors are compatible with the Arduino ecosystem. They can be programmed using the Arduino IDE, allowing developers to tap into the resources within the Arduino community.
The open ARTIK platform can therefore be used by makers, hobbyists and first-time programmers, alongside developers working on the latest Internet of Things applications.
According to Samsung Electronics, the open platforms it provides will help customers, developers and end users to accelerate the development of IoT. The hope is to leverage the collective capabilities of the millions of developers familiar with Arduino IDE, in order to open the door for new and innovative products.
“Arduino Certified ARTIK gives the Arduino passionate community the right tools to create something revolutionary in IoT, in a faster and easier way” said Massimo Banzi, Co-Founder of Arduino.
