GCT Semiconductor has announced that its 4G LTE chip GDM7243S powers the new R850 LTE hotspot now commercially available with Sprint and Sprint’s pre-paid brand Boost Mobile.
This compact R850 hotspot connects up to 10 Wi-Fi devices simultaneously with long range Wi-Fi, for hours of connectivity both indoors and outdoors. GCT’s GDM7243S offers advanced LTE connectivity that simplifies integration, reduces time-to-market and lowers cost.
“We continue to build on our success with GDM7243S and offer ODMs and operators worldwide a mature solution that supports all LTE frequency bands as well as VoLTE, ideal for mobile hotspots, dongles, tablets, MDM and CPEs,” says Alex Sum, vice president of sales and marketing at GCT Semiconductor.
GCT’s system-on-chip solutions integrate radio frequency, baseband modem and digital signal processing functions, therefore offering complete 4G platform solutions with small form factors, low power consumption, high performance, high reliability and cost effectiveness.
