Dick Smith will begin shipping Wanhao 3D printers late-this month, sold as Balco brand.
CRN reports that the Kogan-owned company will sell the Prusa-style Wanhao Duplicator printers (branded Balco), the same kind offered at Aldi stores in February, packaged with four types of filaments.
The budget-price machines come with Cura software, an SD card with pre-loaded files, and 10 metres of filament. They can print in PLA, ABS, PVA and HIPS filaments.
Shipping of the printers begins July 29. The units are priced at $499, and listed on the Dick Smith and Kogan websites.
Dick Smith went into administration in January before being acquired by online consumer electronics retailer Kogan, for an undisclosed sum, in March.
