Collaborative funding boosts tech development

Latest News

A COMMERCIAL LED camera flash unit, a remote real-time milk sensing system, and RFID-based whole of life component tracking are just three Australian technologies being boosted by Victoria's Technology Development Vouchers program.

The funding, worth up to $50,000 each, will allow each of the selected companies to collaborate with suppliers in order to develop, adapt or adopt new products and processes.

The Technology Voucher Program supports projects that involve the development of new technology or explore the application of existing technologies in innovative or novel ways.

I C One Two (alongside Involve Audio) will use the funding to produce a commercial LED camera flash unit.

Samaran International (with Monash University) will develop a remote monitoring and decision support system, using sensor and communication technologies, to provide real-time data on milk volume and temperature prior to collection.

Carbon Revolution (with Insight Engineering Australia) will design and implement a novel system for whole-of-life tracking of individual components using RFID chips embedded in carbon fibre wheels.

Applications for the Technology Development Voucher remain open to ensure companies can utilise the program at a time that suited them.

As part of the Technology Voucher Program, the Victoria Government has also established a searchable directory of Technology Capabilities and Suppliers, listing companies and organisations that can provide services to voucher applicants.

The directory includes more than 180 Technology Voucher Program listed suppliers and enables users to easily connect applicant needs with supplier capabilities.
