Going for the affordable end of the smartphone market, Motorola’s Moto G Play is designed for those looking for smartphone essentials – staying in touch with friends, catching up on the latest news, or watching a latest YouTube video – without breaking the bank.

It has a quad-core processor designed to help users watch seamless video, and Motorola says that its battery lasts a full day, so you don’t worry about running out of power. It has a 8MP camera, and a 5MP front camera.

With the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with quad-core CPU, the Moto G Play is said to deliver fast and snappy performance and makes playing games, switching apps, data transfer easy. The unit runs at 4G LTE speeds.

The device features a 2800mAh battery and lets users stay connected with the world from morning to night without worrying about battery life.  When it does run out of power, users plug in the 10W Rapid Charger available in-box, to get five hours of back-up in 15 minutes of charge.

It has a five-inch HD display and comes with a water-repellent nano-coating that protects it from accidental spills and splashes.

Designed to capture any moment, the Moto G Play shoots photos, videos at 30fps in 1080p with the aforementioned 8MP camera features a ƒ/2.2 aperture and a camera sensor that is claimed to use larger-than-average pixels. The front-facing camera with features like beautification mode and Best Shot, takes selfies with ease.

It also comes with Google Photo free storage for up to 2 years in the original resolution.
