With the new Apple Watch making its debut last month, Apple also decided to rebrand the original version as the ‘Series 1”.

Along with the rebrand comes a few cosmetic changes including having the newer version’s dual-core processor, as well as the recently released watchOS 3 update.

Features it won’t have that come standard with the newer iteration are being water-resistant to 50m, a stainless-steel version, bright screen or built-in GPS.  Unsurprisingly the latest version will have a more expensive price point.

If you want a snazzier version you’ll have to settle for a ceramic casing, which will cost $1000 plus, which isn’t bad considering the now-defunct gold version of the original Apple Watch would have set you back $10,000 plus.

The Series 2 also has sports gadgets in its sights with its GPS and waterproof features aimed at the running, cycling and swimming markets.
