Following the opening last year of its Asian-Pacific office located in Sydney, Apex Supply Chain Technologies (Apex) is now taking its innovations further afield when it showcases its Cloud based automated locker solutions at CeMAT in Melbourne.

The technology, known as the Apex Trajectory Cloud Enterprise Software, allows subscribers to track, manage, control, monitor and analyse your real-time supply, materials and equipment.

Apex Senior Vice President of Global Sales, Tim McCoy, will be flying over to attend to CeMAT from the US and said that the cloud based software platform enables the easy management of a supply chain that can be administered from your desktop, laptop, or any mobile device or browser.

“Moreover, the technology can be used from anywhere, day or night and with no software to install,” Mr McCoy said.

The cloud software powers the Apex Axcess Automated Locker Systems, which will also be on display at CeMAT this year, with demonstrations showing how the solution helps to provide secure accountability for reusable assets and consumable products.

“Each locker also has flexible configurations to accommodate a wide variety of products, from tools or stock-kits, to larger parts; all of which become accessible twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week,” Mr McCoy said.

“Check-out from automated lockers allows employees to get what they need quickly, while Trajectory can then send an automatic notification to supervisors if an item is late, or requires charging or maintenance, eliminating the need for manual, written logs,” he added.

The smart technology also links each check-out and return of an item to an individual, improving accountability for devices and eliminating downtime in searching for misplaced items.

Apex will also showcase its Actylus system at CeMAT, which provides business with technologies that boost productivity through self-automated inventory checks and re-orders.

Mr McCoy said that Actylus has been designed from the ground up to boost supply chain productivity by 30 per cent and grow bottom-line revenues across a variety of industries and applications.

“The Actylus auto-order inventory eliminates the need for safety stock, emergency orders and inefficient labour-intensive manual processes, minimizing overall inventory and therefore providing a more cost-efficient solution for inventory management,” he said.

“This means easy replenishment and no more lines down, ultimately ensuring an ergonomic and cost-efficient system to track and keep your inventory in peak performance.”

Mr McCoy said Apex was very excited to be the first company to introduce the new cloud technology in Melbourne where it will have a number of potential applications across a range of industries such as manufacturing, transportation and fleet, automotive aftermarket, distribution and logistics, mining and quarrying, and healthcare.
