Clipsal by Schneider Electric has launched the next phase of Clipsal Iconic, a range of switches, sockets and smart devices.
Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) mechanisms
The BLE mechs delivers in-room configuration and on/off control via the Wiser Room App. This includes electronic switch, 24-hour timer, and 24/7 scheduling time clock. It has point-to-point pairing and configuration between smart devices and requires no routers or network hardware, so it is easy to install, claims the manufacturer. All settings are stored on the BLE push button mechs, and the time clock can automatically adjust for sunrise, sunset and daylight savings.
ControlLink
ControlLink provides multiway switching and dimming capabilities with Clipsal Iconic pushbutton electronic mechs using standard wiring. Devices, such as switches, timers and time clocks can also be linked for added flexibility and control. ControlLink mechs communicate with each other and respond depending on the type of unit and how it is programmed. This means that separate loads can now be controlled simultaneously using the same wiring.
Night Walk
Night Walk is a motion activated night light that provides peace of mind to users with a soft white LED glow. Night Walk is a simple plug-in skin for a Clipsal Iconic twin socket grid that delivers stylish low level lighting with configurable modes of operation.
Three-gang USB charger with shelf
The Iconic three-gang USB charger with shelf is said to deliver fast charging of tablets, smartphones and other USB devices. It has smart-charging technology, and a total of 4.5A across three USB sockets, and a maximum of 2.1A at each socket. Installation is claimed to be fast and easy with in-line floating wrapper terminals and low-profile ,all-in-one design.
Four-gang slim GPO
The four-gang slim GPO can fit dual twin USB chargers as well as four GPO sockets. It’s just as quick to install as a standard twin GPO, claims the manufacturer.
