MENTOR Graphics says advanced electronics contract manufacturer R.H. Technologies has successfully adopted its Valor manufacturing systems solution (MSS) suite for printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) manufacturing.
R.H. Technologies is a global contract manufacturer providing turnkey services for electronic production assemblies and systems for customers in the industrial, telecommunications, security and medical markets.
According to Mentor Graphics, after deployment of Valor MSS, R.H. Technologies realized an 80 percent reduction in machine downtime for material setup and verification with 50 percent fewer operators.
The Valor MSS Suite is an automated and scalable platform comprised of software tools for each stage of PCBA development and manufacturing process. It is a fully integrated end-to-end solution from a single data source, giving it an edge over conventional ERP systems.
R.H. Technologies is using the materials traceability data in the Valor MSS platform to efficiently manage quality issues by avoiding rework of unaffected boards.
Mentor Graphics says visibility of detailed operational metrics, such as feeders that result in component loss and require repair, have reduced material loss by three percent and has improved machine efficiency by reducing pickup errors.
