ALERT: Future Awards entry deadline extended to 1 August 2012.

The Electronics News Future Awards, continuing the tradition founded by the EDN Innovation Awards, recognises excellence in Australian and New Zealand electronics.

The Future Awards aims to help raise the profile of electronics innovation and give designers and system integrators across the country a stage on which to promote their electronics design and ingenuity.

The winners of the Electronics News Awards will be announced at an Awards ceremony in September, where they will receive their award and have the opportunity to network with the finest minds of the electronics industry.

As with the 2011 iteration of the awards, the 2012 Electronics News Future Awards recognition ceremony will be held alongside a round table event.

FAQ

Why enter?

An Electronics News Future Award is the perfect recognition of your electronics vision, design and development. It is a way to show the industry you are leading the revolution.

You will be able to use the Electronics News Future Awards logo in all your advertising, trade show graphics and product literature. In addition, you will be able to publicise your victory on your website and another electronic forms of communication you use.

A spot in the finals of your Electronics News Future Awards category will guarantee you a spot alongside leading companies in Australia. You will also be able to participate in the awards ceremony and roundtable discussion along with a group of leading figures and companies within the Australian electronics industry.

But you can't win unless you enter.

Who is eligible to enter?

The awards are open to all companies, irrespective of size, who have a design operation and/or manufacturing facility and/or testing presence in Australia and have been operating for at least two years. (Design, manufacturing or test can be defined as “the working of materials or components which produces a useful purpose or service and adds value”.)

Who can nominate an entry?

The nomination may be submitted by anyone representing a company in Australia or New Zealand; however that person must be in a position to properly evaluate the submission.

I can’t enter my project because of confidentiality issues, or because I don’t want to give away secrets behind my application.

We understand your predicament, but that should not stop you from receiving the recognition you deserve. We are flexible about the nature and specificity of the information we will ask of you; special arrangements can be made with the judging panel if particular confidentiality requirements are considered necessary for business purposes, and no proprietary details of the winning project will be published.

I don’t have time to sit down and write an essay explaining my project.

Entering a project should not be a chore. We understand that you’re busy and don’t expect you to spend hours completing forms and writing essays to enter. What we want from you is to express your interest in nominating your project, so we can work together to minimise the amount of time and effort that you’ll put into the nomination, and still obtain the information that we need. You are more than likely to already have documents and images at your disposal to support your entry.
Please attach any material that might be relevant to the project.

If you have any other questions, please contact Madeline Prince at [email protected] or on 02 9422 2759.
