ACCORDING to reports from DIGITIMES, Taiwan PCB suppliers are lowering their quotes for orders placed by Apple.
Apple’s iPads and iPhones are using parts from Taiwan-based PCB companies.
DIGITIMES’ reports claim Compeq Manufacturing, Nan Ya PCB, Tripod Technology and Unimicron Technology are possible PCB suppliers for Apple’s devices.
The news outlet claimed Apple is the party demanding quote cuts from its suppliers for Q2 2011, citing its growth in tablet PC sales. The logic behind this is the increased demand for the devices will benefit the component suppliers.
